Summer is here!

I know we've been out for a week now and just now doing stuff. We wanted to wait for my sisters kids to get out so we could have fun together. The first week was rough. My husband has been going through some issues which is causing him to want to leave the kids and I which we're woking on now. 

The first fun adventure we've done so far is Disneyland. We went in the afternoon and stayed until midnight which was crazy because I'm usually ready for be around 8. We stayed in a hotel so we could enjoy another fun filled day there. Below are some picts of our day!

Video Shoot

This week has been cray cray! Caden has been in a commercial filming for Yvolution Scooters. He had a blast though! When you have great producers and photographers that love kids it makes it so much easier and fun. 

This was on the first day of shooting. He was featured with the actress.

Today we drove to Orange County to film which is a lot closer to me than Redondo Beach is from my house. Caden was such a show off..lol

Being a mom can be tough at times but I wouldn't change it for the world!

Buying Wilted Mint From The Store & Reviving It

I had decided to make a detox drink that included mint leaves so when I went to the grocery store to find the mint leaved I was very disappointed. Every bunch of mint leaves were wilted beyond repair! I thought to myself how are these still up here being sold. I bought a bunch, anyways and took it home along with my cucumber and grapefruit. 

I washed the bunch of mint leaves, cucumber and cut half of the grapefruit and put all the left overs in one zip lock bag (don't even ask me why I didn't just throw away the rest of the wilted mint leaves). 

Two days later I decide to make another batch, again hopefully using the most likely even more wilted mint leaves. I pulled the bag out and reached in for the mint. I felt something thicker that expected. To my surprise... A full thick bunch of fresh mint leaves!

I really wish I would have taken a picture of the wilted bunch that looked like had zero life left in them. 

I don't know what caused it to come back to life? Could've been the moisture from washing them and sticking them in the zip lock bag? Could have been the power of the cucumber or the grapefruit that was with it? Who knows! 

So don't get discouraged when you see wilted mint at the store! You can save it. 

Here is what I did to save mine

*everything was freshly washed*

Stick leftover mint, cucumber & grapefruit in a ziplock bag and I guess let it do it's thing!
