Yesterday was non stop...
My hubby had taken off the weekend for the reunion and was supposed to work Monday then have Tuesday and Wednesday off. Well he decided to take Monday off which means he gets a full 5 days off! So yesterday I had to run some errands and we decided to go as a family. Usually when he's home I take advantage of him and run errands by myself. We made our usual Target trip to buy goodies for vacation, then I wanted to get my oil changed in my car since I am taking my car on the trip.
The oil changed turned into a little more. They noticed that the oil stick was broken and half was still in the transmission. Nothing critical, just something that needed to be fixed, so we took it to the Chevy dealership and was told it would take about an hour and a half to fix. No biggie.. We had time to spare. We didn't want to hang out, who knows, we could have walked out with another new car. lol.. We decided to have the complementary shuttle take us to a little shopping center. There was not much there at all. So we had to come up with creative ideas to do with the kids to waste time.
We first took the kids to Petsmart. We looked at all the animals and they learned a lot! It was kind of like being in a Zoo. It kept the kids highly entertained for awhile! Then we hit up Costco for lunch. I know that sounds lame and we don't even have a Costco card! We went in, browsed, tested samples and had lunch at the food court. I can't believe how cheap their food is! We then walked around Lowes and looked at their plants and waterfalls. Then the dealership called and said our car was ready. We picked up the car and rushed home to change and head off to Disneyland! We decided to go late to avoid the heat. I was kicking myself AGAIN because I left my camera in the car!! It's been a thing lately. So sorry for the phone pictures lately.
The first place we visited was Cars Land, A must! It's so much fun and the food at Flo's Diner is amazing!it's inexpensive and delish! I always get the beef dish. I can't remember the name but It's so good, And I'm not a big beef eater. This is a picture from Flo's Diner looking at the Cars ride.
Then when it got dark we headed over to The Mad Tea Party. I can shamefully say this was the first time seeing this! It's literally a big block party with a band who sings various popular songs and shows!
It was so much fun! They also had an arcade for the kids and guess what! They didn't rip you off like most do! every game was 25 cents!
Here is a very short video I took. My Phone died..
I have to say it was a fun productive day and the kids had a blast! Now off to pack for vacation which I will be blogging from my phone every day! So you can join us on our adventure!
