Is he black or white..

Ethan has been obsessed with Michael Jackson for awhile now and loves watching him on YouTube.

Today he came up to me and asked why he's white in his older videos but black in older ones..

I tried to explain that he had a skin disease that turned his skin white as I was thinking in my head the possibility of the rumored surgery. Who knows but I tried to keep it simple.

Then he managed to crack me up by asking about his friend. He said, mom what about my friend who was at the pool? He's not black but not white. I said honey, he's probably half white and half black. He went in to say.. Well mom, cutting down the middle of his body with his hand, saying no half is not black and half is not white.. Hahha!! Poor kids thinking that a half white and half black person is literally black on one side and white on the other! Lol

We did have a talk and I think he understands now..kids say and think the funniest stuff!! I didn't think this talk about skin color would ever happen. But kids are curious!!
