The Plaque has hit the house...

OK, so maybe I'm being a little over dramatic. But in this house we don't get sick.

I'm serious. We get sick maybe twice a year. I'm not talking about the sniffles, yes my kids get those. I'm talking like stay home from school sick. Sorry for the picture quality. They were taken with Instagram 

This is what I've been dealing with this week.

It all started Friday night. Lauren started with a fever and that lasted 24 hours and that virus turned into a horrible cough. Ethan had been staying at a friends house so I assumed he'd be fine since he wasn't really around Lauren. 

WRONG!

Ethan came home Sunday morning with a fever which spiked up to 102 at certain points. That lasted 3 days and then turned into a cough.  I decided to keep the kids out of school thinking they'd get over it quick. Wednesday came and another day of school missed.  Poor thing slept a ton!

So we all know that this virus spreads quick and I was waiting for Caden & I to get it. Caden got it before I did. He got the fever which spiked up to 103.8 at times. I just kept the Advil going. 

I cannot wait for this sickness to pass! I am truly annoyed with the coughing. Did you know coughing is contagious?  No Joke! When one child coughed another child did. I would not cough all day then my daughter would cough & all the sudden I'd cough. It's weird.

The kids are still not 100% but getting there. 

We'll use this weekend to rest more.

So now I have it. Just the chills and the aches. It comes and goes as it pleases. One minute I'm fine and  the next I'm in bed with tons of blankets. No fever though which is nice ;). We will get through this and all without the Flu shot.
